Note to Triciaflowers:  The link you posted is for a plugin that displays PDFs and Powerpoint docs *in Google Docs*.  It is not a native PDF plugin and does not provide full PDF (or Powerpoint) functionality.  It requires a Google account, and probably saves copies of all the PDFs you open.
