I have tried installing Chrome on numerous occasions thinking that this time it will work and every time I get "The installer encountered error 102."  At one time I did have Chrome installed, but then I couldn't install the updated version, so I completely removed Chrome and now I can't get it installed.  

I am running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.  I have tried the troubleshooting steps mentioned and didn't help me in any way.  I have tried logging into the same PC under a different account with the same results.  I have ran the installer as Administrator - same thing.  I even changed the compatability mode to XP SP3 and I still get the same error.

Not worth it enough to rebuild my system, but I think that is the only way I will get Chrome installed on this system again.
