i actually typed a good reply but my chromium crashed on me!

so here is the super short version
Chromium (http://dev.chromium.org/Home) is the base for chrome, and chrome is actually 99.999999% the exact copy of chromium with 
very little changes (like auto update and stuff like that)

in short Chrome is Chromium made public..... (they are really compiled from the same source base with a few #ifdef along the way)
