Hello again, I managed to fix it on my PC!!! :-) Have you guys checked your Event Viewer under Administrative Tools? I realized that i had a lot of CAPI2 Errors with the message "Failed extract of third-party root list from auto update cab at: <http://www.download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3/static/trustedr/en/authrootstl.cab> with error: The specified procedure could not be found. ." Actually, that one reminded me, that i had turned off Windows Updates. After enabling and did some updates, chrome started working again!!! (even if i close it from the X button and restart, all https sites are working) So check your Event Viewer and do your updates. One good reason that i am thinking is that the local certificate of my PC were expired after a long period of no MS updates. I don't know why this happens to Chrome but i can think that chrome is using System Network Settings. Waiting for your input as well. Right now i am doing a lot of updates, so I will come back in a while... (more info see in my replies) |
