Dear all, I am sorry I didn't see this forum before. I was scammed, this band took $4,100 of my money for a car they announced on craiglist, and now I have nothing.
This is the first email they send to me:
Hello, The car is for sale and it is available immediately. It is in great condition, no dents or scratches and the title is clear (no lien). It was always garaged and the regular maintenance was done on time with 43,000 miles on it. It wasn't involved in any accident and has never suffered any kind of damage. Also this is a non-smoker vehicle. This car it was my daughter's car, she died in the earthquake in Ishinomaki,Japan (God needs to tell me why !) I have dropped my price to $2,600 (purchase price) since this is an urgent sale and I need to sell it before March 25, when should I pay all my debts.This has to be the worst period of my life and I don't see it improving. Now I'm in Japan and the vehicle is in Wilmington, DE at a shipping company. I have a friend who works there and he can get me a very small price which I'll cover. I'm currently signed up for a protection program offered byGoogle Checkout and I would like to close the deal through them. I sent them the money again, and then, they didn't email me at all, I sent them both the seller and Google Checkout multiple emails requesting information about my purchase, but they never replied. It was when I tried to complain through Google Checkout that the internet form didn't accept the ORDER NUMBER they had given me! Then I found this forum and I was devastated when I discovered the truth, I only had the original 2,600 USD they had asked for the car, I had to ask for a loan to pay the extra 1,500 USD they have requested.I had lost my job a month ago and getting a car would have been advantageous for getting another job. Now, I have nothing but debt. I wish I could recover my money, I wish these scams were stopped, I hope my experience helps others, be careful, always doubt about everything. I think there must be something Google Checkout can do to stop this, I have the feeling this thieves are insider employees. Please, if you have any idea or suggestion about what can I do, please let me know.
