My Gmail chat was working fine till now, but all of a sudden, I stopped getting the notification sounds (when somebody sends a chat) in Firefox.
This doesn't happen in other browsers. The sounds are working fine in other sites in Firefox. The application Mozilla Firefox has its volume to the max. What could be the problem?

I have Windows 7.
