Last year I applied for an account, which was rejected because it said my email address is associated with another existing account. The email address mentioned is my fiancee's email address (not mine), so I would have liked to appeal this, but I am unable to.

All attempts to deal with this lead me to a generic error page stating:

"Account Not Active
An AdSense account does not exist for this login, as it is associated with an unapproved application. For more information about your application, please review the message we sent to the email address you provided with your application."

The problem is that the link in the original email just dumps me back on this same message. I can't sign up with the same, or a different account and am therefore stuck in a loop that slams me back up against this wall every time.

I tried appealing using the Invalid Activity form, but this bounced back because my application was never approved in the first place.

I can't set up a new account because it says my address has already been used, but I can't use that address either because it says there's no account to edit because the application was rejected. Catch 22.

Does anyone have a success story out of all this? I hope a human reads this and can guide me (and others stuck in similar situations) out of these woods.

It must surely be in Google's interest to have as many working accounts as possible, not thousands (more?) stuck in limbo.

Any help appreciated.
