Why didn't Google choose a "4th of July" doodle that shows the American flag? Mexico is proud of their flag, England is proud of their flag, Brazil is proud of their flag... I'm proud of mine too, especially today. Would have been nice to see it

Is it "World Independence Day"? katlwh 7/4/11 5:39 AM I totally agree with HLFMEX1.  I was very disappointed not to see a flag.  The Statue of Liberty was the only distinctive icon in the doodle.  Our flag is the identification of our country and only our country.

BillCar 7/4/11 3:52 PM As a 20 year veteran and a Google fan, I can't believe they would purposely exclude the American flag. Some day they will know why they should be proud of this country and the flag that represents it.I am very sad that Google has taken this position.
