of news items used to get picked up, but now it has reduced to nearly one per week. We noticed this change in April.

Hi Mobility Factor,
Our system often struggles to crawl article pages with hyperlinked headlines. If you remove the hyperlinks from the headlines on individual article pages, we may be able to crawl more of your content.
Additionally, you may want to review our article about troubleshooting article dates. We may be pulling inaccurate dates for your articles.
Thanks for your question!

I still don't know what the issue was, but Google news has starting picking up our articles again. Thanks very much!

Thanks for your help last time. Google News has again stopped picking up news from our website again. www.shanzai.com. Could you please help?

All of your article titles appear to be "Share This Post" which indicates something is going pretty badly wrong.
Looks as though Google stopped indexing your content for G News on around 28 June by my reckoning.
Do you use a News Sitemap, and, if so Have you still got a green tick for your news sitemap in Webmaster Tools?

We do use a News Sitemap. We have fixed the Sitemap and submitted it again. But even after so many days our articles are not getting indexed. Is there any chance Google has removed our website from Google News listing due to this "Share this post" issue. What can be done now?
|Scottchio||8/9/11 8:03 AM|
I would imagine that you could have been de-indexed. If that is the case, you can check in Google Webamster tools to see the status of your news sitemap.
If there's a message like "Your Sitemap is on a site that is not in the Google News database. Google News can only accept Sitemaps from sites that we crawl. If your site is crawled by Google News, please check that the URL of your Sitemap agrees with the URLs of your articles as they appear on Google News, including any leading "www". If you would like to request inclusion of your site in Google News, please contact the Google News support team." then you've definitely been delisted.
If, however, your news sitemap displays a green tick, then you're still listed - though, as mentioned, there's something wrong with the indexing of your site in Google News, which you need to fix ASAP.

We checked the Sitemap again. It says the sitemap is slow and displaying these errors.
Line Status: "Some URLs in the Sitemap have a high response time. This may indicate a problem with server or with the content of the page."
We checked the URL and it seems to be working properly. Does this error has something to do with Google News de-indexing?

You'll need to clean up these errors for certain.
"High response time" is quite specific - it means Google could not load up the content when it tried to. Maybe your server is underpowered, you're being hit with excess traffic, or something in your setup isn't quite right (maybe your throwing some continuous loop somewhere that means, while the page loads okay in a browser, it never actually completes loading, for example).
This sounds to me like you have some technical issue going on that you'd want to fix ASAP regardless of Google News.
For what it's worth, it took around 20 seconds for me to get that page up in a browser - that's FAR too long, and probably unnacceptable for both Google's bot and the user experience they wish to deliver to Google News users - so bad on both counts.
Don't forget, your browser probably has cached most of the page content, so you'll be getting lots faster pageload times than anyone else might expect.
To check (ping) your page, try this service: http://tools.pingdom.com/?url=http://www.shanzai.com/index.php/news-a-articles/14-news/1189-dont-copy-the-ifauxne-copy-the-whole-dang-store.html&treeview=0&column=objectID&order=1&type=0&save=true - Pingdom is giving a dramatically poor 32 seconds to load your page when I tried it.
This is seriously bad.
You likely need to fix your hosting AND your CMS as soon as you can. Pageload should be under 1 second to stop users clicking the back button (form my experience).

Google news is not picking stories from our website. Can somebody somebody explain to me why?

If it's possible, please open a new thread about your own question and include as much as information you can including the URLs of website and its sitemap.
