Re: No built-in flash in Chrome 15 beta? wár17 § 10/4/11 11:58 AM Go to about:plugins and click on Details link.  First Flash player is turned on be default. If the second Flash player is not turned on, then enable it. If you do not see a Flash player, then install Adobe Flash player in Chrome or Firefox.
Re: No built-in flash in Chrome 15 beta? butlermatt 10/4/11 12:35 PM War17, I thought Flash player was supposed to be bundled as part of Chrome? Why would i need to install it separately?
Re: No built-in flash in Chrome 15 beta? wár17 § 10/4/11 2:05 PM Flash player is bundled with Chrome. In Chrome 15, it is the Pepper Flash, but comes disabled.  So you can go to Plugins page and enable it.  Some users do not Pepper Flash, so that is why they use the other Flash player instead.
Re: No built-in flash in Chrome 15 beta? butlermatt 10/5/11 5:29 AM War17 but my problem is that in about:plugins, there is no flash listed at all, not even pepper flash.
Re: No built-in flash in Chrome 15 beta? wár17 § 10/5/11 8:23 AM butleimatt, that is strange.  Do you have a utility or program disabling or blocking flash?  Do you have Flash Blocker extension?
Re: No built-in flash in Chrome 15 beta? butlermatt 10/5/11 9:06 AM War17, no I do not. This is a fresh install of Ubuntu11.10 beta and a fresh install of Chrome15 beta (via the 64-bit deb on the site) It was updated today current version: 15.0.874.81 (Official Build 103858) beta Flash still not in the plugins at al
Re: No built-in flash in Chrome 15 beta? iworm 10/10/11 1:57 AM Exactly the same for me, except also with 15.0.874.83. V annoying - one of the things I always tell people about Chrome is "no more faffing about with Flash!" Yet here it's just gone. As per reporter, no plugin listed, just no trace of it.
Re: No built-in flash in Chrome 15 beta? iworm 10/10/11 2:05 AM I found a way to fix it: apt-get install adobe-flashplugin (which incidentally automatically removes flashplugin-installer) But the question is... Why? Why do I need to do this if it's meant to be built-in...? Anyway hopefully that'll work for yo
Re: No built-in flash in Chrome 15 beta? butlermatt 10/11/11 5:54 AM iworm I've no doubt that if I installed adobe flash on my computer that it would correct the issue. But as you said I shouldn't need to install flash if I'm using google chrome.
Re: No built-in flash in Chrome 15 beta? enickee 10/15/11 10:39 AM I have the exact same problem with Chrome 15.0.874.92 on Ubuntu 11.10. (upgraded from 11.04 several days ago). Flash worked fine in 11.04, but not once I upgraded to 11.10. The workaround works, but the question is why should this be necessary. Is t
Re: No built-in flash in Chrome 15 beta? wár17 § 10/15/11 1:51 PM If Flash in Chrome works in Ubuntu 11.04 and not in Ubuntu 11.10, shouldn't Ubuntu make the change?
Re: No built-in flash in Chrome 15 beta? butlermatt 10/17/11 5:40 AM War17, not at all. We're installing the Chrome.deb file which, in theory, includes the peppered flash built-in. Not a separate package off Ubuntu, but included in the Chrome default. If that component is missing after an update then that would indica
Re: No built-in flash in Chrome 15 beta? Jojo_1 11/4/11 11:33 PM Edit  After upgrade to chrome 15.0.874.106 I receive missing plugin message. Tried to reinstall flashplugin without effect. In about:plugins flash is turned on Flash - Wersja: 11.0.1 Shockwave Flash 11.0 r1 Nazwa:        Shockwave Flash Wersja:
Re: No built-in flash in Chrome 15 beta? wár17 § 11/4/11 11:35 PM Jojo, in the Plugins page, turn off the first Flash player, and 2nd will take over as default.
Re: No built-in flash in Chrome 15 beta? Jojo_1 11/5/11 12:09 AM Edit  These are the only plugins I have. Don't see second flash. But strange as it seems, after purging flashplugin and reinstalling it once more, rebooting whole system, flash started working. I know it was a very lame solution on my part.
Re: No built-in flash in Chrome 15 beta? wár17 § 11/5/11 8:29 AM Jojo, deleting old Flash plugin and reinstall new Flash player is not lame. Your old Flash player was likely corrupt.
