I moved an e-shopping company to Google Apps and they've been having problems with gmail when sending emails.
Their web app sends an email to the customer upon each completed transaction, but GMail started rejecting emails with the message:
Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently
The email is sent to 1 customer at a time, i.e., not bulk and I couldn't find any related topic in the forum.

At first, the email account was disabled without warning. I was able to reactivate it by logging in again to it through the web interface. Now, emails to customers are being rejected!
Could someone report this problem to Google!
Note: I replaced @ with [TheAtSign] .

I double checked the HTML content that is being sent to the customers, and it contains no links apart from an email to contact the site's information desk. I still don't see why these emails are being flagged as spam and rejected!
Steps to Reproduce (if applicable): Some emails are delivered, while some are rejected. All emails contain the same structure (one link to an email account) and the rest is delivery and cart info only.

hi, you will need to add Google Apps SPF record. please see the ref link below

Thank you for the tip. I just added the SPF records to maachla.com only (not to all subdomains).
Can you please elaborate on why this is related to rejecting the emails?

please read the link that I provided before. the recipient cannot identify the valid smtp server of the sender, by adding the spf records, the recipient server will able to identify that your domain is using Google SMTP server.

I see. So the messages were being rejected due to the response coming from the recipient server, correct?

no, due to unidentified smtp server (sender) by the recipient server.

I'm having the same problem sending email to one of the group accounts on my google apps domain. If I sent an email from my gmail account to the group account which is open to messages from the internet, I get the "Message Rejected" failure, like that above.
I have an SPF record set on my domain, and it doesn't seem to have made a difference.

JMac, what's your domain name? And kindly paste one of those bounced emails here. Make sure you include the full headers by clicking the Reply droplist on the top-right of the message and choose Show Original.

Is there other way to fix the problem "Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: Message Rejected" other than upgrading to premier edition?
