Apps Connector 3 with multiple domains jfriend 11/10/10 9:54 PM In our organisation we have two Google Apps domains (for various historic reasons) and currently have Apps Connector 2.2 with BES 4.1.x running on Windows Server 2003, configured with the BES joined to the Active Directory for one of the organisation
Re: Apps Connector 3 with multiple domains HongZ 11/11/10 10:23 AM Google Apps Connector Customers, We just post a software update (version 3.0.127) that fixed some remaining bugs related to multiple domain support. Please use this version (v3.0.127) for multiple domain setup. To configure multiple domain setup, you
Re: Apps Connector 3 with multiple domains jfriend 11/11/10 10:55 AM Thanks very much. Just to clarify on two things: 1) with those registry entries in place will the GAL be generated automatically, taking the user data from the Google Apps domain user list? 2) does the email address need to be an administrator and
Re: Apps Connector 3 with multiple domains HongZ 11/11/10 11:01 AM 1. You need to stop and restart "blackberry dispatcher" for the new registry setting to take effect. The sync is automatic. 2. The email address just needs to be valid. It does NOT need to be admin, since GAL data is visible to everyone.
Re: Apps Connector 3 with multiple domains jfriend 12/13/10 10:26 AM Further to the answers previously in this thread, we have now gone through the upgrade process but, rather than upgrade an existing BES, we decided to set up an additional BES running BES Express to trial a few new devices using BIS rather than full
Re: Apps Connector 3 with multiple domains jfriend 12/13/10 10:41 AM Actually, I think I've worked this out. By going to Manage Users, selecting the user, then Edit User on the User Information tab it's possible to add BAS authentication, and presumably with that enabled the user could then log in to Web Desktop Admi
Re: Apps Connector 3 with multiple domains HongZ 12/13/10 5:16 PM You should use BAS authentication in that case. The integration between BES and AD is beyond the scope of Google Apps Connector.
Re: Apps Connector 3 with multiple domains Superdave67 12/16/10 7:07 AM Again to clarify... I've got my primary domain as http://abc.com and have a second domain http://xyz.com within the Multi-Domain realm. I have a few regular users, st...@abc.com, ja...@xyz.com, and t...@xyz.com.  So I would configure the Registry edit as follow?
Re: Apps Connector 3 with multiple domains jfriend 12/16/10 7:22 AM Yes, that's how we've got ours set up and it works perfectly.
Re: Apps Connector 3 with multiple domains HongZ 12/16/10 12:59 PM It depends on whether http://abc.com and http://xyz.com are belong to the same Google Apps for Business account, and http://abc.com is the primary domain, you don't need to set any registry key. If http://abc.com and http://xyz.com are separate Google Apps for Business account, then y
Re: Apps Connector 3 with multiple domains HorseP 12/25/10 2:34 PM Hi Hong, We have one AD which hosts multiple domains. 4 in total. We have those domains on Google apps in separate Apps for business accounts. This was done as the domains needed to be absolutely independant and could not be done with current multip
Re: Apps Connector 3 with multiple domains HongZ 12/25/10 11:40 PM The support tools you mentioned was for Connector 2.x. It has been deprecated couple of months ago. For new setup, we only support Connector 3.0 and above. Please see Best Answer above on how to setup Connector 3.x for multiple domain support.
Re: Apps Connector 3 with multiple domains HorseP 12/26/10 1:44 PM Great thanks Hong.
Re: Apps Connector 3 with multiple domains Superdave67 1/7/11 7:49 AM In the documentation for configuring Multiple Domains (shown below), it indicates to uncheck "Allow access to all APIs", and add a few URLs.  Once I did that, and indicated the alternate domain as the Client Name, I get "This client name has not been
Re: Apps Connector 3 with multiple domains HongZ 1/7/11 2:56 PM If you are a single Google Apps customer with multiple domains, only the primary domain is considered as client. In such case, you don't need to setup anything. It is NOT a multiple domain setup. If it is valid multiple domain setup, you should not g
Re: Apps Connector 3 with multiple domains Superdave67 1/20/11 8:53 AM We have a primary GApps domain of http://PRIMARY.COM (example of course) and an alternate domain (not an alias) setup as http://SECONDARY.COM.  We've created a few users on the http://SECONDARY.COM domain and are able to send and received mail form those accounts. Now w
Re: Apps Connector 3 with multiple domains HongZ 1/20/11 2:30 PM If the two domains are under the same Google Apps account, then you don't need to setup any registry. The registry key is only needed if you use one BES server to handle multiple Google Apps accounts (company/customer accounts, not user accounts).
